CITY OF ALPHARETTA IMPLEMENTS SMART911 SYSTEM
Smart911 is safe, secure and free!

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety is implementing the Smart911 system which is designed to enhance the current 911 services offered to our citizens.
Smart911 is an information network which allows citizens to create a safety profile of vital and personal household data which will be displayed on screen to 9-1-1 call takers immediately when a citizen places an emergency call. Not only does Smart 911 enhance communication, it assists first responders in locating the person in need. Smart911 travels with you wherever you go within the Smart911 network!
Gary George, Alpharetta public safety director says “Smart 911 is simply amazing. It allows someone to enter information such as their medications, the presence of pets, the names and number of residents, mobile phone numbers, mental or medical disabilities, allergies, hearing impaired, utility information or any other information a citizen wants to share with first responders.”
Today approximately 70% of incoming calls to 9-1-1 are from mobile phones, making it difficult for first responders to determine the exact location of the caller. With Smart911, call takers will receive work and home address as well as GPS locations of the caller.
Imagine how important this safety profile is in the event your child goes missing, or there is a house fire, or if a member of your family has an allergic reaction. You can better prepare yourself and your family knowing that first responders such as police and fire personnel will have valuable information to assist you. Medical EMT’s will have vital information prior to arriving on scene.
Smart911 is a free service available to all citizens and is 100% private and secure. Safety profiles can be created through the Smart911 website at www.Smart911.com Simply sign on at www.Smart911.com
