The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety will host the 29th annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 7th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Wills Park in Alpharetta. This year Alpharetta Public Safety has teamed up with Milton Police to provide an exceptional event above and beyond last year’s huge success!
This year’s event will include three "bounce houses" for the kids, an interactive fire safetyhouse simulator kids can walk through, displays of police and fire vehicles, SWAT demonstrations, firefighter scenarios, technical rescue operations, police K9 dog scenarios and numerous other police and fire activities. Your police and firefighters will be serving up hundreds of hot dogs and hamburgers. Chick-fil-A has made a generous food donation.
National Night Out is a national program involving citizens, businesses, civic groups and law enforcement organizations. National Night Out is designed to bring communities together to increase public safety-community partnerships, heighten crime and drug awareness issues, garner support for anti-drug and crime initiatives and to send a message that our neighborhoods are organized and active partners within the community.
Each year during the National Night Out event, over 15,000 communities across America participate. For more information please visit www.nationaltownwatch.org
This year’s event will involve simulated gunfire during some of the scenarios. Signage will be placed at Wills Park to inform the public.
