Taste of Alpharetta has become an annual tradition for festival-goers, families and food connoisseurs for 20 years. Make reservations on your calendar to dine in Downtown Alpharetta at over 50 restaurants in one fun night. Sample delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts from the top menus in town. Enjoy culinary demonstrations, activities and entertainment to please every palette. Free Admission. Food samples are $.50 each and restaurants participating in the Taste will charge $1-3 per food sample.


Spread your blanket on the Culinary Art and Music Stage lawn to enjoy competing chefs and live music. Party with metro Atlanta radio stations. Play at the Fun Zone. Come out and enjoy Alpharetta’s premier dining experience!

2009 Culinary Competitions 5-7pm:  We will have an onsite culinary competition tent with chefs competing for the Best Appetizer/ Salad, Best Fast Casual Entrée, Best Fine Dining Entrée, Best Dessert Best Presentation, People’s Choice Award, and Best Booth. Stop by and see the action! Culinary awards on stage at 8pm.  

2009 People’s Choice Award:  Ballots will be available at the culinary competition tent through 7pm. There are no judging guidelines for this category. The restaurant with the most votes wins the People’s Choice Award, so stop by the stage!

2009 Fun Zone:  Titanic, Fire Truck, Cars 5 in 1 Combo, Monster Jeep, 24’ Dual Extreme Slide, Dragon Obstacle Course, Double Decker Bus, Pirate Ship Adventure, Jurassic Adventure, Noah’s Ark, Carousel Bounce, Sno Cones, Popcorn, Hoops, Titanic, Temple of Doom Obstacle Course, Speed Throw, Ironman Obstacle Course, 24’ Dual Slide, Adventure course II, Foam Dance Party, Adventure Course I and King Kong’s Revenge, Guitar Hero, Reptile Wrangler, Train, Rock Climbing and much more! Children can also enjoy wacky hair, face painting, balloon art, henna art and a full farmyard with pony carousal.


Parking and FREE Shuttle System:  Arriving and leaving the event, shuttles will drop off and pick up by the Information Booth on Old Milton Pkwy approx. every 20 minutes from 5-10 pm.

Park and ride: Alpharetta City Hall (on Two S. Main St), Publix (on 11800 Old Milton Pkwy at Haynes Bridge), Milton Center (old Milton High School at Milton Ave), Alpharetta Community Center at Old Milton Pkwy (175 Roswell St).

Park and walk (no shuttle service): Wills Park Equestrian Center (on Wills Rd) and Alpharetta Community Center (on Roswell St). Directions:FROM GA 400 NORTH – Exit at Haynes Bridge Road. Turn left off exit onto Haynes Bridge Road. Follow until Haynes Bridge ends, turn left onto Academy Street. Cross over Main Street/Alpharetta Hwy./SR 9. Travel one block to next light at Roswell Street and turn left. Take Roswell Street to partially closed intersection at Old Milton Parkway, turn right to enter event site.

FROM GA 400 SOUTH – Exit at Old Milton Parkway. Turn right off exit onto Old Milton Parkway. Take Old Milton Parkway straight into downtown Alpharetta. Turn left on Main Street/Alpharetta Hwy./SR 9. Turn right onto Roswell Street. Travel one block to partially closed intersection at Old Milton Parkway, turn left to enter event site.
