The function of the Community Development Department is to prepare an/or revise, update, enforce and interpret development ordinances and regulations including, but not limited to the following:
Comprehensive Land Use Plan
Zoning Ordinance
Standard Building Code
Subdivision Regulations
Processing of plans for permits and public hearings
Performance of inspections and code enforcement
Staff support to the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Design Review Board, Development Authority and Code Enforcement Board
Coordination of economic development activities
Maintenance and updating of the official Zoning and
Future Land Use Maps
