THE CITY OF ALPHARETTA HAS APPROXIMATELY 450 EMPLOYEES in the Departments of City Administrator, Financial Services, Information Technology, Human Resources, Court Services, Public Works, Community Development, Public Safety, Fire and Emergency Services, Police Services & Recreation and Parks.
Positions include: Administrative assistants, civil engineers, maintenance workers, inspectors, firefighters and emergency technicians, policemen, engineering technicians, program coordinators, public works technicians, accountants, and analysts.
The department of the City Attorney is staffed by consultants, working on a contractual basis on behalf of the City.
