The latest redevelopment proposal for North Point Mall will be considered by the Planning Commission on July 7. The property owner is requesting the demolition of approximately 464,000 square feet of the existing mall including 2 anchor boxes in order to redevelop a portion of the 83.67-acre property with:
* 315,700 square feet of new retail, restaurants and creative office
* 120,000 square feet of office
* 150-room hotel, 900 ‘For-Rent’ units
* 36 ‘For-Sale’ townhomes
* Approximately 18 acres of open space

The meeting begins at 6:30 PM and is held at Alpharetta City Hall.
The Planning Commission is charged with the responsibility of conducting a public hearing for all applications for zoning changes, Comprehensive Land Use Plan amendments, and amendments to the City’s Unified Development Code. During the public hearing, the Commission reviews applications and makes an appropriate recommendation (based on the City’s Unified Development Code) to City Council.
