Volunteer opportunities exist in and around Alpharetta for citizens to contribute their time and talents to make Alpharetta a better place in which to live and work.


The list below are some of the organizations that need dedicated volunteers on an on-going basis, whether it be an hour a week or much more.

Alpharetta Community Agriculture Program

The City of Alpharetta’s Community Agriculture Program has volunteer opportunities for families, individuals, and groups at the city’s one-acre Old Rucker Farm. Volunteers are a vital piece of the farm’s operations, and tasks range from spreading mulch, weeding, pruning, planting and harvesting fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs. Alpharetta Cultural Arts Programs

For art, music and history lovers or anyone who just wants to help with cultural happenings around town! We have a large range of volunteer options available from the Arts Center Gallery art installations and receptions, to history museum tours and log cabin history archives, to public art murals and tours. For specific cultural program volunteer needs and questions contact: arts-culture@alpharetta.com.

 



Alpharetta & Old Milton County Historical Society

Become a member of the historical society, assist with research in the Alpharetta Archives, or volunteer for an event at the FFA Log Cabin or the Mansell House & Gardens, or help with a local preservation project or history docent tours.  For more information email info@aomchs.org.




Alpharetta Junior Women's Club

Alpharetta Garden Club

The Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of September-May, at 9:30 a.m. at the Mansell House, 1835 Old Milton Parkway. For more information, contact Joy Ross at 770-442-9960.



Eagle Scout Project Opportunities

Taste of Alpharetta

Held annually on the second Thursday in May, Taste of Alpharetta is the city’s longest running food festival that attracts over 40,000 people to its downtown streets for an evening of culinary delight. Volunteers looking to give back to the community through a fun and rewarding experience are invited to sign up for shifts assisting with load in/out, info booths, ticketing, family-fun zones, food rescue and more.
