The City of Alpharetta, in partnership with Georgia Audubon, will offer the third in our series of guided bird walks on Saturday, November 11 from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Group size is limited, and pre-registration is required at https://georgiaaudubon.app.neoncrm.com
Georgia Audubon’s Kiana Leveritte will lead this beginner-focused bird walk along Big Creek, through wetlands, and across an open prairie on the search for winter resident bird species. Expect to see a variety of birds including nuthatches, warblers, raptors, hawks and more. You may also learn some basic bird ID tips and tricks. Bring binoculars if you have them.
Note: This walk is geared toward beginners and kids (ages 7+), but all are welcome.
Participants will meet at the North Point Parkway entrance to the Big Creek Greenway, which is located at 6698 North Point Parkway near the intersection with Encore Parkway. Please assemble in the parking lot near the restroom facility for verification of your registration for the walk.
