Motorists are advised that the City of Alpharetta will close the following roads on the evening of Thursday, July 4.
* Old Milton Parkway between State Route 9 and Wills Road
* Wills Road between Old Milton Parkway and State Route 9
The closures, which are related to the July 4th Fireworks Celebration at Wills Park, will begin at 6:30 PM or when the parking lots at Wills Park become full, whichever first occurs. The closures will remain in place until the fireworks program concludes.
Motorists are also advised to expect heavy traffic and delays in the area around Wills Park beginning around 5:30 PM and again around 10:30 PM as those attending the event arrive and depart.
The Wills Park fireworks will commence at 9:15 PM. If there is a weather delay, the latest start of the show will be at 10:40 PM.
