Have you experienced a missed trash or recycling collection in the last few days? It may be because your account is delinquent or inactive.
The City of Alpharetta recently purged delinquent residential curbside trash and recycling accounts and advised Republic Services to cease service to the corresponding addresses. This account maintenance is something that we do annually to ensure that the service is not being extended to those who are not paying for it.
If you are a resident of the City of Alpharetta whose trash/recycling has not been collected on your normal service day his week or last week, here is what you need to do.
- If you are unsure if your account is up-to-date, contact us at utilities@alpharetta.ga.us to find out.
- If you know your account was delinquent or that you need to re-establish service, please visit https://www.alpharetta.ga.us/trash and select Establish/Terminate Service to create a new account.
- For additional information about Alpharetta’s curbside residential trash/recycling program, please see the program brochure that can be downloaded from the page referenced in #2 above or go to https://www.alpharetta.ga.us/docs/default-source/trash-recycling/sanitation-and-recycling-program-brochure.pdf?sfvrsn=6593f6ab_24
