The Alpharetta Fire Marshal’s Office proudly offers a variety of fire and life safety educational programs for all those who live, work, and play in the City. “Request a fire safety educational course or a fire truck visit your home, business, or event in the City of Alpharetta! This can be a parade, a friendly firefighter visit, or even a birthday drive-by! A full list of available services is listed below.
While fire crews enjoy participating in community events and classes, our primary mission is to provide fire and emergency services that enhance the quality of life of those who live, work, and play in the City of Alpharetta. Even with scheduled events, the possibility exists that fire crews could be diverted due to an emergency response.

Types of Events
For Your Home
Senior Home Safety Survey – Firefighters will visit your home and perform a "walk-through" with you, pointing out potential fire and life safety hazards and making suggestions on how to correct these hazards.
Smoke Detector Program – Depending on availability, Alpharetta firefighters may install or provide smoke detectors for seniors or in-need citizens.
For Your Business
Floor Warden Training – Subject Experts will visit your business and present fire warden/emergency evacuation training. Please provide access to AV equipment (screen/monitor/projector) and an electrical outlet for the presentation.
Fire Extinguisher Training – Firefighters will visit your business and present fire extinguisher training consisting of a presentation and a hands-on component. Please provide access to AV equipment (screen/monitor/projector) and an electrical outlet for the presentation. Please also provide access to a site on the exterior that is in a safe area with access to an electrical outlet and garden hose connection.
Fire Drill – Firefighters will visit your business and assist your team with conducting a fire drill.
General Fire Safety Training –Firefighters will instruct fire safety practices tailored to your business needs.
For Your School
Fire Engine/Truck Display (Grades: Pre-K/Grades 3 +) – Firefighters will visit your school and present age-appropriate fire and life safety information as well as equipment and fire apparatus.
Fire Safety Presentation (Grades: 6 +) – Firefighters will visit your school and present age-appropriate fire and life safety information.
Fire Safety Table/Booth – Firefighters will visit your school and set up an informational display with age-appropriate fire and life safety information.
Career Fair – Firefighters will visit your school and set up an informational display with fire service career information.
General Events
Firehouse Tour – Firefighters will present age-appropriate fire and life safety information as well as equipment, fire apparatus, and the firehouse.
Fire Safety Presentation – Firefighters will visit your location and present age-appropriate fire and life safety information.
Fire Safety Table/Booth – Firefighters will visit your location and set up an informational display with age-appropriate fire and life safety information.
Fire Engine/Truck Display – Firefighters will visit your location and present age-appropriate fire and life safety information as well as equipment and fire apparatus.
Parade – Firefighters will visit your location with a fire apparatus and participate in a parade.
Child Safety Seat Education – Child Passenger Safety Technicians will provide Child Safety Seat Education on City business days from 9:00 am-3:00 pm by appointment.
