The Alpharetta Fire Marshal’s Office oversees all fire investigations within the City of Alpharetta. This helps us determine common fire causes in the community so we can better understand how to prevent future fires from occurring, which makes our community safer.
Investigators are on call 24-hours a day 365 days a year to respond outside of their normal office hours. Alpharetta Fire Investigators are responsible for investigating all suspicious and non-suspicious fires where a cause cannot readily be determined by on scene personnel. This responsibility also includes fires resulting in injury and/or death.
Fire reports typically a turn-around time of 5 business days. Note that larger incidents may take longer depending on investigation time.
