The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will temporarily close State Route 9 between Academy Street and Cumming Street beginning at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 24. Motorists will be detoured along Academy Street/Milton Avenue, Cricket Lane, Cumming Street, Roswell Street, and Mayfield Road while the closure is in place.
This is anticipated to be a one-day closure and is necessary due to utility work associated with GDOT’s State Route 9 Improvement Project.
