The City collects and analyzes over 450 water quality samples from our streams each year. We test and evaluate temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, and levels of chemicals and bacteria in the water. When an abnormal reading is obtained, we investigate possible sources of pollution such as broken sewer pipes, failing septic system, or illegal dumping. For sewer and septic issues the City works with property owners and Fulton County to get the issue resolved.
